Can I add video in my content?

Yes you can!

In Elxis you can incorporate video inside your content as part of it. To do so, you have to use the {mosflv} mambot. Below the editor you will find a special [F] button.

Place the cursor where you want the video to appear and press it. Automatically a new line like the next one, is placed.

{mosflv}path_to_flv_video.flv{/mosflv}

All you have to do is replace the "path_to_flv_video.flv" with the path to your video file. Elxis supports .flv format video files.

Yes it is! You can use Access Manager to create and assign rights to new user groups. That way you can have full control and multilevel access to content.

Elxis comes with the following predefined user groups:

Access only to Front End

The following groups have only access to Front End. They cannot have access to administration panel.

- Public Frontend: Every visitor belongs to that group. Users of this group can only view content.

-- Registered User: Users that register to your site can have access to content that was invisible to "Public Frontend" group. They can also Submit News, Submit Web Links, using a special "User Menu" from the Front End, and View the Users List. News and Web Links that submit, must be approved by and administrator, before they are published.

-- Author: Authors have all the rights that a Registered User has, plus they can edit from the Front End, the content items they have published.

-- Editor: Editors have all the rights that an Author has, plus they can edit from the Front End, all published content items.

-- Publisher: Publishers have all the rights that an Editor has, plus they can add new content on every category.

Access to Back End

The following groups have access to Back End, not only to Front End. They have access to administration panel.

- Manager: Managers have access to Back End but limited responsibilities. They have access to:

  • Media Manager
  • Statistics
  • Edit current menus but not add new ones
  • Edit Content

- Administrator: Administrators have access to Back End with less limitations than Managers. They have access to all functions Managers have, plus:

  • Trash Manager
  • User Manager (cannot add new users)
  • Create new menus
  • Components: Install/Uninstall/Edit
  • Modules: Install/Uninstall/Edit
  • Mambots: Install/Uninstall/Edit

-Super Administrator: Super Administrators are the higher level accounts. They have full access to all functions of administration panel.

Creating your own User Groups

Using Site -> Access Manager, you can create your own custom user groups and assign the rights you want to them. You have full control to define what they can do on front end or back end. This is a very powerfull feature that you have to use wisely and with caution if you dont want to make your site dysfunctional.
