In Elxis you can organize content in two ways or with a combination of these two ways. Hierarchical structureContent is organized in Sections -> Categories -> Content Items. You can have as many Sections you need. Sections contain only Categories. Categories contain Content Items. Content Items are the "articles" of your site. Using this structure, you can benefit the most out of Elxis, because there is a number of menu item types that let you view and display content based on this. For example you can create menu items of type "Table - Content Section", "Table - Content Category", "Blog - Content Section", "Blog - Content Category", etc. That way you can easily display all the Content Items that belong to selected categories or sections. Autonomous PagesAutonomous pages are Content Items that do not belong to a Section/Category structure. They are independent. You can think of them as single HTML pages. You can create as many as you need and then organize through the proper menu structure. In other words you can create menus and menu items linked to autonomous pages, in such a way that the organization of menu structure reflects the organization of the content. CombinationsYou are not restricted to one the other way of organizing content. You can use both methods at the same time. |
