Elxis LogoThank you for choosing Elxis CMS. You have completed successfully the installation of the Elxis files and are now viewing part of the sample content that is included in the default Elxis installation. You can delete all of this information and replace it with your own contents very easily. However, before you do that, we recommend that you review these sample files, as they contain some information you might find to be helpful.

Included in the sample content you will find:

  • An overview of Elxis (this content item)
  • An introduction to Elxis Features
  • Start-up information, and
  • Information about Elxis Licensing Terms (GPL)

Elxis is a Free Open Source Content Management System. Its initial code was based on Mambo CMS, one of the best CMSes.

The code is rewritten and new and extremelly usefull features have been added. Elxis is trully multilingual. Supports UTF-8 encoding by default. That means that you can present content in every language without any problem.

Now you even have the ability to view video files, directly from your content!

Elxis was initially developed by two people. Ioannis Sannos and Ilias Antonopoulos from Hellas (Greece). Both have supported Open Source projects in the past.

With Elxis we wanted to close even more, the gap between high quality Open Source software and Businesses.

Elxis is supported and promoted by GoUp Inc. Elxis development is based on Elxis Team and GoUp's efforts. Contributions from Elxis Community are always welcomed and encouraged.

You can find the official support site at elxis.org. As in other Open Source projects, there are two levels of support. The Free that is given between community members, using the community forums and Professional that is given in a business to business level from GoUp Inc. or other Solution Providers. For more information, please visit the official site.
